📝Is anyone as excited as I was today because the post office is back after the long weekend?! — Here are the stack of books I received today. They all sound amazing! #TheWaterCure Paperback version is out on 25 April! — “It’s an old story and I’m so tired of telling it - the oldest story in the world and yet I can’t put it down, I can’t stop it from dragging on my body, so don’t make me tell it again. The story doesn’t end or even begin with me. You can imagine. You can tell it to yourself.” — Wow. That’s the first word popped up in my mind when I finished reading The Water Cure by Sophie Mackintosh today. I was surprised this was such a fast read. I have never read a book like this - a book about three sisters living on an island with their parents and being cut off from the world. One day three men arrived on the island and everything changed. It is very raw, dark and some parts quite twisted... it will make you feel quite uncomfortable and question the characters in the story. I kept asking myself while I was reading it “this doesn’t look right” “are they sane?!” — I am very impressed by Sophie’s writing and story telling. It is beautifully haunting which fits the story perfectly. The twist and turn of the storylines are very well structured and thought out. This is a book with an open ending. I normally do not like books which leave the readers to figure it out but in this case and this book, it is just the right and perfect ending to the story. — If you love Handmaid’s Tale then you should definitely pick this up! — Thank you so much @penguinukbooks for sending me this gorgeous paperback to review! 📝Do you read thriller or suspense? — It wasn’t a genre that I used to read BUT ever since I read The Girl Before by JP Delaney, it has become one of the genres I love to read! — I have become a huge fan of JP Delaney. His books are so clever and the plot twists are so well thought out. You never see it coming! I have loved all his books! The Girl Before and Believe Me are both amazing! I am soooo excited for his upcoming release in August The Perfect Wife!
