Review – Butterfly in Frost by Sylvia Day

Today is my stop on the blog tour for Butterfly in Frost by Sylvia Day. This is such a fast, enjoyable and steamy read!

Synopsis:

From #1 New York Times bestselling phenomenon Sylvia Day comes a hotly anticipated and passionate new love story.

Once, I would never have imagined myself here. But I’m settled now. In a place I love, in a home I renovated, spending time with new friends I adore, and working a job that fulfills me. I am reconciling the past and laying the groundwork for the future.

Then Garrett Frost moves in next door.

He’s obstinate and too bold, a raging force of nature that disrupts the careful order of my life. I recognize the ghosts that haunt him, the torment driving him. Garrett would be risky in any form, but wounded, he’s far more dangerous. I fear I’m too fragile for the storm raging inside him, too delicate to withstand the pain that buffets him. But he’s too determined…and too tempting.

And sometimes hope soars above even the iciest desolation.

Emotional and heartrending, Butterfly in Frostmarks a brilliant return by global sensation Sylvia Day, the #1 international multimillion bestselling author of the Crossfire saga.

My Review:

I have been a huge fan of Sylvia Day because of the Crossfire Series, Gideon and Eva remain to be one of my favourite characters. Therefore I was so excited to find out that Sylvia Day has a new book coming out!

I read Butterfly in Frost in one sitting and have really enjoyed it! I love a romance with two broken characters. I love how Sylvia Day has taken a romance and expanded it to cover so much more than just a love story. Can I just say that I have not seen that ending and that plot twist coming at all. It was so unexpected and welcome. There were some really steamy parts in the story; if you are familiar with Sylvia Day’s books, you won’t be surprised by it.

I have to say the story did feel a bit predictable at time as I felt like I have read similar adult romances like this before; and I did feel that the insta love between the characters was quite sudden that I was actually looking for more connections between them two. However these didn’t take away my enjoyment of the book.

Overall I really had a great time reading Butterfly in Frost. It is out now. Definitely check it out!

Thank you so much Charlotte and Midas PR for gifting me this copy to review!
