Blog Tour – The Magic of Christmas by Nora Roberts

Today is my stop at the blog tour for The Magic of Christmas by Nora Roberts! I am so excited to let you know more about this perfect read during Christmas time!

My Review:

Nora Roberts really needs no introduction! Often being considered to be one of the most successful novelists in our time, she has written more than 150 books in the last 30 years and has been on the best selling lists countless times. I have read a few of her books before and I am determined to make my way through all her books in the next few years!

The Magic of Christmas is a book combining two of her previous releases: The Playboy Prince and Charmed. I will give you a quick overview of the synopsis and also my mini review on each of them. All her stories are highly enjoyable and entertaining. If you love a romance that is a bit different and a bit more exciting, her books are perfect for you!

The Playboy Prince

Dashing and energetic, Prince Bennett lives for the moment – taking his pleasures with an almost reckless abandon. But in the last few months he’s become restless and dissatisfied – without really understanding why.

When English aristocrat Lady Hannah Rothchild arrives at the palace, Bennett finds himself inexplicably drawn to the quiet, reserved young scholar. She isn’t remotely his type – but there’s something intriguing and mysterious about her. Very intriguing.

Meanwhile Hannah is hiding a dangerous secret – one she must protect at all costs. The Cordina’s royal palace is not the safe haven it appears and she must be on her guard. Yet despite all her attempts to avoid Bennett, she cannot deny her growing feelings for him – even though those feelings could destroy them both…

My Review:

I devoured this story in one afternoon. Nora Roberts writes incredible romances. However they are not just romances, they often enough come with a bit of thrill, a bit of suspense and a bit of danger. All of these elements make her books so addictive and you will never be tired of or bored of it. It is so thrilling and yet romantic. This is what I love the most about Nora Roberts’ books. They are just the different kind of romances I absolutely enjoy and love!

The Playboy Prince is actually the third book in the Cordina’s Royal Family series but it can definitely be read as a stand-alone too!

Anastasia Donovan has a very special gift – but it comes with a great burden. She’s an empath – a healer – but her power has a dangerous side. She has spent years hiding away, trying to protect herself and her magic at all costs.

When widower Boone Sawyer moves in next door Ana finds it hard to ignore the instant, powerful connection that passes between them. Perhaps the time has come to open up to love at last? But when a sudden and shocking accident puts a child’s future at stake, Ana knows she cannot deny her powers – even thought it could cost her Boone’s love, and even risk her life…

My Review:

I don’t tend to read a lot of paranormal novels let alone romantic fictions. But I do really enjoy this one. Again Nora Roberts’ pace and writing are just beautiful; there is no argument about this. But I do find the plot to be a bit predictable in this one. However it is still such a fun read and the story has a few love scenes which I totally enjoy too!

Charmed is the third book in The Donovan Legacy series but again this can also be read as a stand-alone too!

Overall, these two stories are both fun and enjoyable. It is perfect to read during a cold winter night!

Thank you so much again HQ Stories and Mills and Boon for this beautiful review copy. The Magic of Christmas is out now, make sure you check it out.
